The Winter Fest celebrations will conclude with Family Fest, a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event at Heritage Park on December 31 from 6PM to 9PM. Family Fest will feature a live DJ, dance floor, photo booth, and BBQ. Participants can skate outdoors, enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride (weather permitting), and cozy up around bonfires before watching the fireworks display at 9PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations for the Parkland Food Bank to share the joy of the season with those in need.
“Winter Fest is a cherished tradition in Stony Plain, bringing our community together to celebrate the season and create lasting memories,” says Mayor William Choy. “From the lighting of the town tree during Winter Light Up to the family-friendly activities on New Year’s Eve at Family Fest, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone participant to share in the holiday spirit.”

In addition to the festive events, donations for the Kinsmen Christmas Hampers will be accepted throughout December at Town Hall.
