Stony Plain Kinsmen Rodeo

The Stony Plain Kinsmen have been holding an annual rodeo since 1996 as one of the primary functions to raise funds to “Support the Communities Greatest Need”.

It is organized and staffed almost entirely by volunteers. All proceeds are funneled back into the community through donations to the local sports and community clubs as well as other organizations such as D.A.R.E., Camp He Ho Ha, Forest Green Play ground Fund, others and the Kinsmen Christmas Hamper program, which provided food and gifts to over 710 families in 2023 with a total of 2000+ families that received assistance.

It started as a simple amateur rodeo event with a beer garden. We are pleased to be partnered with the Wildrose Rodeo Association and thank them for the great job they have done for us over the years.

In 2001, we partnered with the Town’s Farmers' Days to create a more complete event for the whole family. The biggest event of the year - The Stony Plain Kinsmen Farmers Days' Rodeo & Exhibition is a three day festival jointly planned by the Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen. The weekend event features a midway, carnival games and the Kids Corral which includes bounce room, obstacle course and so much more!!

The Rodeo and Kids Korral are long-time favourites. Other activities include our Kinsmen Market  with more than 100+ vendors, Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Live Entertainment, a non-denominational Church Service on Sunday morning - and so much more fun stuff!!!
