Farmers' Days

JUNE 5, 6, and 7!

The Town of Stony Plain in partnership with Stony Plain Kinsmen bring you The Farmers' Days Rodeo and Exhibition! This is a jam packed three-days of family fun and is the town's biggest event of the year!

*Please note, due to safety concerns as a result of the extreme rain lately, all rodeo events have been cancelled. We are disappointed for all the rodeo fans and competitors, but all other activities are still happening! The Market with 160 tables will be open, the bands will be playing in the Kinsmen Saloon, arm wrestlers will be competing, and the energetic church service will take place Sunday morning. Go to the parade, go for tea at the museum or have pancakes with the Council, take the little ones to the Kid's Korral or the midway - plenty of fun for all!

Kinsmen Rodeo

Stony Plain Farmers' Days will go ahead this weekend June 5-7, however, the popular rodeo events have all been cancelled.

Kinsmen Rodeo Chair, Derek Roberts, issued a statement tonight "After intensive consultations and a full assessment of the rodeo grounds by the Kinsmen and professional rodeo stock contractors, the decision has been made to cancel all rodeo events this weekend. The extreme rain this past week has saturated the arena, and this judgement ensures the safety of all rodeo livestock and contestants."

"The club is in the process of notifying all the participants, suppliers, sponsors, and volunteers of this decision." We are disappointed for all the rodeo fans and competitors, Roberts continued, but we urge the community to still come out and enjoy Farmers' Days fun.

The Market with 160 tables will be open, the bands will be playing in the Kinsmen Saloon, arm wrestlers will be competing, and the energetic church service will take place Sunday morning. Go to the parade, go for tea at the museum or have pancakes with the Council, take the little ones to the Kid's Korral or the midway - There is so much to ensure you will have a great family weekend experience."

The Kinsmen Club will be considering an alternate date later in the summer to host the popular rodeo event which celebrates the community's rural heritage.
